This book povides an excellent bridge between two complex and closely inter-related
subjects : mathematics, cryptography.
Usually, books which aim to cover these two subjects, over-do one of the two aspects. In this book,
we obtain a balanced view of the mathematical basis of various aspects of cryptography, starting
from the basics and without any loss of rigour. The text includes several well-chosen examples and
exercises, to complete the picture. Each Chapter has a collection of revision Problems, solutions to
some of which, are also made available in the book. This book is also a fine example of how books on mathematically profound subjects should be written. I found this book to be of immense use in my courses at Kathmandu University. (This book was a gift from my son Parishram.) |
