Hacking for learning

S. Parthasarathy

Perhaps, the most misunderstood and misused word in computer science is "hacking". The hacker's own phenomenally successful and authoritative lexicon by Eric Raymond defines a hacker as ``a person who enjoys exploring the details of programmable systems''. Based on this definition, the author presents some guidelines and advice on how to use hacking effectively (for learning LaTeX).
  1. The "hacking for learning" paradigm (Part 1)
  2. The "hacking for learning" paradigm (Part 2)
  3. Try this LaTeX sandbox
The author carries the above ideas one step further in his books on LaTeX.
