Perhaps, the most misunderstood and misused word in computer science is "hacking". The hacker's own phenomenally successful and authoritative lexicon by Eric Raymond defines a hacker as ``a person who enjoys exploring the details of programmable systems''. Based on this definition, the author presents some guidelines and advice on how to use hacking effectively (for learning LaTeX).
