Selfpress
WordPress (WordPress.org) is a free and open-source content
management system (CMS) based on PHP & MySQL.
There are
two variants of WordPress implementations : WordPress.com, WordPress.org (you are currently seeing a wordpress.org version).
This page is about a self-hosted wordpress.org page (nicknamed selfpress), hosted in my current domain drpartha.org.in
To begin with, in July 2011, I started a wordpress.com blog hosted at
https://drpartha.wordpress.com/. That was until I located a web hosting provider to
host my own website under my own
domain name drpartha.org.in. After trying my new web host for about two years and
confirming their dependability and quality of service, I decided to host my own version of wordpress
in my own web host drpartha.org.in. The web host had
the necessary tools and competent staff for helping me download and
install my own version of wordpress (nicknamed selfpress).
The drpartha.wordpress.com
site was put in hibernation mode (frozen mode), in Jan. 2019, and all subsequent wordpress posts are made only on my selfpress site.
The contents of selfpress change regularly and frequently. There are several facilities
in selfpress for you to
keep yourself up-to-date.
