Partha and his globe

Partha has visited several countries around the world. In all these countries, he has been invited for presenting his research activities and collaborating with the host institution. Here is proof that his scientific contributions are appreciated all around the world.
This list does not contain the many countries where he has been only on transit. It contains only those countries where Partha has spent at least three days (usually much more). It does not include countries which he visited, purely for holidaying or personal reasons.

Partha's French connections

This is his most frequently visited country (outside India). Partha did his Doctorate here, did his post-doctoral research here, spent two sabatical visits here, consulted for a French company and also visited this country several times as an invited scientist. Partha speaks French very fluently.

His discovery and research (D&R) activities started here.

GERMANY

Partha spent a sabatical year here, at the Technical University of Braunschweig. Besides conducting research in automation, he taught a course on "safety critical systems" and was rated as the best teacher unanimously by the students.

THAILAND

Partha visited the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok. Provided assistance to a course run by United Nations.

MACAU

Partha worked for the United Nations, in this fascinating and tiny Portugese/Chinese colony. He also lectured for the University of Macau.

CHINA

Partha visited here, as part of his project for the Chinese railways.

INDONESIA

Partha was stationed in Borneo (Kalimantan), for a project in a petroleum refinery belonging to TOTAL Indonesie. This is a lovely spot -- unspoiled by humans (except for the refinery).

MALAYSIA

Partha visited a famous engineering school in Zaragoza. Invited by Prof. Manuel Silva, University of Zaragoza, Spain.

Partha took up a detailed study of river management systems and flood control systems here. This study was used for a river control system in India.

NEPAL

Partha was a visiting Professor at Kathmandu University where he taught courses on cryptography and esecurity.
